Jason Evert's PURE FAITH Pilgrimage

This pilgrimage is a collaboration with JMJ Youth Pilgrimages, and is open to:
  • Individuals ages 18-39
  • Small groups of teens (15-17) with chaperones aged 21+

Embark on a spiritual journey into Poland hosted by Jason Evert of Chastity Project, with Fr. Agustino Torres CFR as chaplain. 

Follow the footsteps of Poland's great saints, from the capital city of Warsaw to humble Czestochowa, onward to charming Krakow and the refreshing mountains of Zakopane. Enter the story of redemption amidst tragedy with St. Maximilian Kolbe and St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein). Live the return of hope in Christ's Divine Mercy with St. Faustina and Pope St. John Paul the Great.

Your Chaplain: Fr. Agustino Torres, CFR

Fr. Agustino Miguel Torres is a Franciscan Friar of the Renewal (CFR), a community established in the Bronx, NY and dedicated to work with the poor and to evangelization. He is the President and Founder of Corazón Puro and Latinos por la Vida. Fr. Agustino is a presenter on the EWTN programs “Clic con Corazon Puro” in Spanish and “ICONS” in English.
He is also one of the founders of “Catholic Underground”, Casa Guadalupe, and the John Paul II House — houses of discernment. He is internationally sought to speak about sexuality in the context of the Doctrine of the Church, vocational discernment, and missionary discipleship. Every year, Fr. Agustino speaks to more than 25,000 youth and reaches millions more people through the media.

​Jason Evert has traveled to six continents to bring his message to more than one million people over the past 20 years, including World Youth Days in Australia, Spain, and Poland. Jason earned a master’s degree in Theology, and undergraduate degrees in Counseling and Theology, with a minor in Philosophy at Franciscan University of Steubenville.
He is a best-selling author of 15 books, including Saint John Paul the Great, How to Find Your Soulmate without Losing Your Soul, and the curriculum YOU: Life, Love, and the Theology of the Body. He and his wife, Crystalina, are frequent guests on radio programs throughout the country, and their television appearances include MSNBC, Fox News, BBC, and EWTN. Together, they run the website Chastity.com as well as the Chastity Project ministry, and they lead an international alliance of young people who promote purity in more than 40 countries.

Monday, July 25
​ARRIVAL

Witamy w Polsce!​ Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your JMJ UNITED Guide, introduced to your fellow pilgrims, and escorted to the bus to your hotel. After you have settled into your lodging, head out to St. Kostka Church. Visit the Shrine of Blessed Jerzy Popiełuszko before celebrating Mass. Meet Jason and Fr. Agustino and get to know your fellow pilgrims at the group's Welcome Dinner. Overnight in Warsaw.

Tuesday, July 26

WARSAW & CZESTOCHOWA

Take off on a morning walking tour of Poland's capital city. See the Warsaw Cathedral, the Royal Castle, and the quaint streets of Old Town (pictured). In the afternoon, pass through the Jewish Quarter and spend time admiring the peacocks in Łazienki Park.

Depart for Czestochowa. Visit the Jasna Gora Sanctuary (pictured). Learn the storied history of the Black Madonna before entering into prayer before Our Lady of Czestochowa.

Depart for Krakow for a late dinner and overnight.​

Wednesday, July 27
KRAKOW

​Fresh from breakfast, set off on a morning walking tour of Krakow. Stroll around charming Market Square. Pause to listen to the bugler before entering St. Mary’s Basilica for Mass. Climb the hill to Wawel Castle and Cathedral.

​After lunch, make your pilgrimage to the tomb of St. Faustina, to the Divine Mercy Shrine, and to the St. John Paul II Shrine. 

In the evening, join your fellow pilgrims for a special event with Jason and a Holy Hour of Adoration.

Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Thursday, July 28
WADOWICE & AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU
Travel to Wadowice, the hometown of St. John Paul II. Tour his childhood home, and cross the street to celebrate Mass at the parish where he was Baptized. Don't leave town without trying a bite of his favorite pastry, now lovingly called "Pope Cake."

​Make a pilgrimage to the Auschwitz Holocaust Memorial and visit the cell of St. Maximilian Kolbe. Continue to the nearby Birkenau Memorial, where St. Theresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein) was martyred. Reflect on the day during free time for personal prayer.

Tonight, Jason will make a dinner presentation on Pope St. John Paul the Great.

Friday, July 29
ZAKOPANE
Head for the mountains! Breathe in the fresh air of Zakopane where St. John Paul II made his retreats.

​Spend the afternoon independently hiking trails, riding the funicular, and admiring the wooden chalets unique to the Tatras Mountains. Take in the uniquely Polish culture that surrounds you as you slow yourself down to the pace of this mountain refuge. 

Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Saturday, July 30
WIELICZKA & KRAKOW
Descend into the Wieliczka Salt Mines to explore underground lakes, chapels, and even a basilica. Marvel at the stunning works of art crafted by devout miners throughout the centuries.

Return to Krakow for a free afternoon and evening to discover the city's many churches, return to favorite holy sites, or simply relax in Market Square. Rejoin the group for a Vigil Mass and final group dinner.

Overnight in Krakow.

DEPARTURE
Depart for home carrying with you the graces, memories, and photographs of this incredible pilgrimage.
Daily Mass is always​ included in our itineraries, except on air travel days. Activities are subject to change and/or rearrange within the itinerary.
How are hotel rooms assigned?
Hotel rooms will be shared by 2-3 pilgrims traveling together. Adult pilgrims may be asked to share a room with other adult pilgrims of the same sex, depending of the mix of ages and genders in the final group. Private rooms are available at additional cost. Room assignments will be emailed to you at least two weeks prior to departure.

Will you book my flights?
Because participants in this pilgrimage will be flying from multiple cities, we are not able to make group airfare reservations for you from your particular departure city. Your pilgrimage is a "Land Only" package, freeing you to reserve your preferred flights into Paris and out of Barcelona.

What are the designated arrival and departure times? Why are they  important?
When reserving your flights, plan to arrive at Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) by 2:00pm on Monday, July 25th and to depart from Krakow John Paul II Airport (KRK) after 9:00am on Sunday, July 31st. These flight times enable you to use the group airport transfers. If you arrive after or depart before the designated times, you will be responsible for arranging transportation from/to the airport at your own expense.
